During Dr. Thongtrangan’s fellowship at the world-renowned Stanford University Medical Center, he gained experience in complex spinal reconstruction, scoliosis, tumor and revision surgery for patients who have undergone previous spinal surgery without success. He then went on to complete an additional fellowship in Orthopedic Spine at the prestigious Texas Back Institute where he had an opportunity to focus on minimally invasive techniques and artificial disc replacement.
He’s also fellowship-trained in Adult Reconstruction at University of Minnesota where he mastered his surgical skills in hip and knee replacement and was fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma at the Medical College of Virginia. As a resident at the esteemed Medical College of Virginia, he was given the ‘Best Resident Award’ based on his excellent patient care, surgical and teaching skills.
During his free time, Dr. T. loves watching and playing soccer, reading and cooking Thai food. He also loves traveling and learning about new cultures. He has a plan to perform mission work in Asia and South-East Asia.
